Edward, un aspirant acteur, subit une procédure médicale radicale afin de transformer drastiquement son apparence. Son nouveau visage de rêve tourne rapidement au cauchemar alors qu’il perd le rôle qu'il était destiné à jouer et devient obsédé par l'idée de récupérer ce qu'il a perdu.
